Pay and Allowances
Job Corps pays each student a bi-weekly basic living allowance while in the program. But just like a real job, taxes are deducted from this allowance.
Our center can house 148 male students and 232 femaile students in two dormitories. There are four residential floors with 25 suites on each dorm floor. Each dorm has laundry facilities, TV rooms, lounges and study/computer rooms. Every suite has its own bathroom and shower facilities.
Our students are provided three nutritious hot meals each day at no cost in one of the best dining facilities in Job Corps.
The wellness center is open daily for basic medical, dental, and optometrist services which are provided free to our students. The wellness center also provides 24-hour emergency medical services in conjunction with nearby health facilities. Weight management, smoking cessation, pregnancy prevention, and other health-related programs are also available.
As a Job Corps graduate, you will have a positive outlook and be qualified and prepared for today's professional workplace. Additional graduate benefits include:
- Transitional services to help you once you leave.
- Job placement assistance for up to nine months
- Career counseling
- Relocation counseling services
