  • Operate special equipment to create images and conduct tests involving the heart and lungs
  • Report abnormal EKG results to health care providers (i.e., elevated ST segment, prolonged P-R interval)
  • Prepare patients by explaining the procedure to them and answering their questions
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment
